  Which picture is the most similar to the target?

  We use automatic metrics to measure how similar two lightings are. This survey checks how far those metrics agree with human judgement. You see a target image and two attempts to reproduce it, and pick the one you find more similar.

  Which results come closest to the target?

  We use automatic metrics to measure how close a reproduction of a lighting is to its target. This study checks how far those metrics agree with a trained eye. You rank twelve results from the most similar to the least similar, with a map of the difference beside each one, and write a short note on what separated them.
